Graham Cracker Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 2 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 1/3 c sugar .
  • 1/3 c melted butter .
  • 3 tbsps sugar .
  • 2 c hot milk .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for top) .
  • 1 1/4 c graham cracker crumbs

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix the first three ingredients well.
  • Step #2 Press into a pie plate, saving about 3 tablepoons for the top.
  • Step #3 In a saucepan put the milk, sugar, salt, cornstarch, & egg yolks.
  • Step #4 Cook over med-heat/flame till it comes to a boil; boil about 1/2 to 1 min & take off the heat.
  • Step #5 Add the vanilla & let sit a min while making meringue.
  • Step #6 Whip the eggs whites using a couple of tbsps of sugar to make a meringue.
  • Step #7 Put the custard in the graham line pie plate.
  • Step #8 Add the meringue & saved graham cracker topping.
  • Step #9 400F degrees till golden.
