Double Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 (1 oz) square unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsps butter (no substitutes)
  • 1/4 c sliced pecans

Directions
  • Step #1 In a small heavy saucepan or microwave-safe dish, melt unsweetened chocolate & butter; stir until smooth.
  • Step #2 In a small mixing bowl, mix egg & sugar.
  • Step #3 Stir in the chocolate mixture & mix well.
  • Step #4 Combine the flour, salt & baking powder; stir in theto the batter until just mixed.
  • Step #5 Stir in nuts.
  • Step #6 Spread into a greased 8-in.
  • Step #7 x 4-in.
  • Step #8 x 2-in.
  • Step #9 loaf pan.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with chocolate chips.
  • Step #11 Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-18 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step #12 Cool on a wire rack.
