Pepperochini Italian Roast Beef Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) jar pepperoncini peppers .
  • 4 lbs roast .
  • 2 (0.75-1 oz) packages of aujus powder gravy mix .
  • 8-10 hoagie rolls .
  • 1 onion, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Using a crockpot (on high setting), cook roast about 6-8 hrs, depending on the roast cut, in the peppers juice.
  • Step #2 Set the peppers aside for later.
  • Step #3 Once the meat is cooked it should be falling apart, you can either take it out to shred it & put it back in the pot, or do your best to seperate the meat while it stays inside the crockpot.
  • Step #4 Add the peppers & sliced onion Add AuJus mix, you may want to add a little water, & then add it back to the meat, I take some of the pepper juice out & mix the AuJus so there are no lumps, so the meat is covered.
  • Step #5 Cook on low for about another hr or so.
