1 (18 oz) box white cake mix or French vanilla cake mix .
1/2 c melted butter .
1 c water .
STREUSEL .
10 whole graham crackers .
1/4 c vegetable oil canola oil .
CAKE .
1 (3 oz) box French vanilla instant pudding .
1 1/2 c sliced pecans or walnuts .
4 eggs
Directions
Step #1 Set oven to 350 degrees.
Step #2 Butter a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish.
Step #3 For the streusel; place the graham crackers in a plastic bag, seal & then roll with a rolling pin until crushed (do not crush until fine) place the crumbs in a bowl.
Step #4 Add in the brown sugar, 1/2 c plus 3 tbsp melted butter & cinnamon; mix until mixed, then add in the pecans or walnuts; set aside.
Step #5 For the cake; In a large-ish bowl beat all cake ingredients together until mixed.
Step #6 Pour HALF the cake batter into prepared buttered baking dish.
Step #7 Sprinkle top with HALF of the streusel mix evenly over the top of the batter.
Step #8 Then carefully spread the remaining cake batter over streusel.
Step #9 Then top this with remaining streusel.
Step #10 Bake for about 40-45 mins or until the cake tests done.
Step #11 If desired, drizzle glaze over the top of the cake after baking.
