Ginger Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 3 oz bittersweet chocolate, coarsely sliced) .
  • 1 pint best-quality vanilla ice cream .
  • 1/3 c candied ginger, finely minced .
  • 3 c chocolate fudge sauce, see recipe # 62796

Directions
  • Step #1 Soften the ice cream by setting it out at room temp for about 30 mins.
  • Step #2 Or place this in microwave for 15 seconds.
  • Step #3 If it doesn't soften, repeat.
  • Step #4 Scoop ice cream into a metal mixing bowl.
  • Step #5 Using a large spoon, beat in the ginger & chocolate pieces.
  • Step #6 Spoon back into container, cover & refreeze.
  • Step #7 Serve with the fudge sauce & garnish with more candied ginger.
