1 1/2 lbs lean stewing beef, cut into small bite sizes .
1/2 c cornstarch (or more) .
3 celery ribs, cut into chunks .
2 tbsps minced garlic .
4 c potatoes, partially cooked, skin on & cut into bite size chunks .
5 c beef gravy .
1/2 lb baby carrots, cut into thirds (2-3 c)
Directions
Step #1 Mix together the gravy, tomato sauce, garlic & worcestershire.
Step #2 Dump gravy in first.
Step #3 Drop in the meat, celery, onion, & carrots.
Step #4 Mix it all up & cook for 8 hrs on low or 4 hrs on high.
Step #5 The last 45 mins add the potatoes.
Step #6 Take out 2 c of the hot gravy & mix in the corn starch, then mix it back into the crock pot
*Now, if you are going to prep this ahead & freeze to drop in the crock pot frozen Do the following:.
Step #7 Prep the gravy, tomato sauce, worcestershire, & garlic & put in a Ziploc.
Step #8 Blanch your veggies - under cook, & bag together, leaving out the potatoes.
Step #9 Bag the potatoes in a separate bag.
Step #10 Bag the beef, cut in chunks.
Step #11 When you are ready to use, just follow the directions above.
Step #12 You will have to thaw the gravy to pour in, but everything else can be thrown in frozen.
Step #13 You may have to add another hr to the cooking time.
