Creamy Potato Soup With All The Fixings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) package Velveeta cheese, shreads topping .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 1 tsp garlic powder .
  • 4-5 green onions with tops, topping (sliced) .
  • 3/4 c half-and-half .
  • 2 c baby carrots .
  • 6 oz cream cheese .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 1 lb fried cooked bacon (crisp & broken in bite size peaces) .
  • pepper .
  • 3-5 celery ribs .
  • 5 lbs potatoes .
  • salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel & cut up the potatoes.
  • Step #2 Cut the half carrots in half.
  • Step #3 Cut up the celery into bit size pieces.
  • Step #4 Let boil until all are tender.
  • Step #5 Drain & put all the cooked veggies back into the pot.
  • Step #6 Now add the butter, 1/2 the milk, half & half & cream cheese into the veggies.
  • Step #7 Use a mixer to make the veggies like mashed potatoes.
  • Step #8 Add rest of the milk & cream until you get the desired consistency you want the soup -- I like it a bit thick, not really thin soup.
  • Step #9 When you get it to the way your family likes it, pepper, then add salt, & garlic powder.
  • Step #10 Taste & adjust accordingly.
  • Step #11 Let simmer for 15 mins.
  • Step #12 Now you are ready to top it with what you like.
