Chicken Cigar Wraps With Paprika Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced fresh parsley
  • 2 tsps Marsala wine
  • 1/4 c chicken broth
  • 2 tbsps paprika
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 4 tsps ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c sour cream
  •  
  • 1/4 c heavy cream
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsps red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (16 oz) package frozen phyllo dough, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 425F degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl, mix together the ground chicken, cumin, shallots, paprika, wine, garlic powder, & red pepper flakes.
  • Step #3 Lay out one phyllo sheet on a clean surface, & brush with a light layer of melted butter.
  • Step #4 Place another sheet on top.
  • Step #5 Form a 1/2 inch thick strip of the chicken mixture along the long side of the sheets of dough.
  • Step #6 Roll up like a long cigar, dabbing the end of the dough with a little butter to seal.
  • Step #7 Cut into 3 inch sections to make cigars.
  • Step #8 You should get 3 cigars per roll.
  • Step #9 Place the cigars in a baking dish, & repeat the process with the remaining dough & filling.
  • Step #10 Bake for 18 mins in the preheated oven, or until the rolls are deep golden brown & crispy.
  • Step #11 While the cigars are baking, sour cream, paprika, whisk together the cream, salt, & cayenne pepper in a small saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #12 Cook & stir just until the sauce is hot.
  • Step #13 Do not boil.
  • Step #14 Remove from heat & serve as a dipping sauce for the cigars.
