Rum Sauce For Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 oz rum .
  • 3-4 drops food coloring .
  • 8 oz evaporated milk .
  • 1 1/2 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 1 c apple juice or milk .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 In a double boiler, melt butter.
  • Step #2 Stir in milks & sugar.
  • Step #3 Heat over med-heat/flame to gentle boil; stir constantly for 2-3 minuutes.
  • Step #4 Dissolve cornstarch in a little water & add to hot milk.
  • Step #5 Stir until thick.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat, rum, then whisk in cinnamon, & food coloring.
  • Step #7 Pour rum sauce over bread pudding & serve.
