Sausage & Apple Breakfast Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c pancake syrup .
  • 2 frozen dinner rolls .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 small granny smith apples, peeled & sliced (appx 3/4 c) .
  • 6 oz breakfast sausage (turkey or pork)

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 375.
  • Step #2 Spray 1 1/2 quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Step #3 Place rolls on cutting board & let this stand 10 mins to thaw.
  • Step #4 In non-stick skillet, heat sausage until brown & drain.
  • Step #5 In medium bowl, beat eggs, milk & syrup until well mixed.
  • Step #6 Cut rolls into 3/4" cubes & place this in the bowl with the egg mixture.
  • Step #7 Stir & coat all pieces.
  • Step #8 Add sausage & apple to mixture, stir & coat them as well.
  • Step #9 Pour into your casserole dish.
  • Step #10 Bake 30-40 mins or until the rolls are puffed.
  • Step #11 Insert a knife into the center & when it comes out clean, they are done! Let stand 5 mins before you serve.
  • Step #12 You can also add bacon in place of the sausage for a different taste.
