Chocolate/peanut Butter Drop Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 c peanut butter
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F.
  • Step #2 In large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, mix 1 c flour & the next six ingredients until well mixed.
  • Step #3 In small bowl, mix 3 tbsps of flour & the remaining ingredients until well mixed (mixture will be crumbly).
  • Step #4 Drop chocolate dough by tspfuls, 1 inch apart, onto cookie sheet.
  • Step #5 Top each with 1/2 tsp of peanut-butter dough.
  • Step #6 Dip a fork into flour & press carefully across top of each cookie.
  • Step #7 Bake 12 mins or until firm.
  • Step #8 Move cookies to racks; cool.
