Chinese Barbequed Spareribs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 c hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 2 tbsps white wine
  • 2 c water
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1/2 tsp red food coloring
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 c jellied cranberry sauce
  • 4 lbs pork spareribs, cut into 1-inch pieces

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, cranberry sauce, honey, mix hoisin sauce, white wine, soy sauce, & red food coloring.
  • Step #2 Mix in garlic salt & Chinese five-spice powder.
  • Step #3 Place ribs in the mixture.
  • Step #4 Cover, & marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hr.
  • Step #5 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #6 Place water in the bottom of a large roasting pan.
  • Step #7 Arrange ribs on pan rack, & cook 30 mins in the preheated oven.
  • Step #8 Cover with remaining sauce mixture, & continue cooking 30 mins, to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
