Slow Cooker Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 1/2 c small curd cottage cheese .
  • 4 c shredded mozzarella cheese .
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste .
  • 1 (8 oz) package no-boil lasagna noodles .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 1 tsp dried oregano .
  • 1 c water .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 In skillet, cook beef, onion & garlic over med-heat/flame until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Step #2 Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, salt & oregano; mix well.
  • Step #3 Spread a fourth of the meat sauce in an ungreased 5-quart slow cooker (aka crockpot).
  • Step #4 Arrange a third of the noodles over sauce (break the noodles if necessary).
  • Step #5 Combine the cheeses; spoon a third of the mixture over noodles.
  • Step #6 Repeat layers twice.
  • Step #7 Top with remaining meat sauce.
  • Step #8 Cover up & cook on low for 4-5 hrs or until noodles are tender.
