Just Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 7 g dry yeast .
  • 3 c whole wheat flour .
  • 2 c luke-warm water .
  • 1 c white flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Dissolve the yeast with 1 c of the water In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #2 Gradually add the flours while mixing continually.
  • Step #3 Add the remaining water a little at a time while mixing (NOTE: if the dough is stil too dry, add a bit more water).
  • Step #4 Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 mins or until it's smooth & not too dry.
  • Step #5 Put it back into the bowl & over it with a damp cloth & let rise in a warm area for 20 mins or until the dough has doubled.
  • Step #6 Knead the dough again for another 5-10 mins & put it back & let it rise for 10 mins (use more flour if the dough becomes sticky).
  • Step #7 Shape the dough into a loaf, a 'cob' or baguettes etc.
  • Step #8 , or alternatively use a breadpan (I usually put baking paper in the pan so no oil is needed).
  • Step #9 Bake at 150 degrees C for approximately 30 mins, but it might require more or less time depending on you oven.
