Ingredients
2 tbsps sugar .
1 1/2 c instant coffee, cooled .
2 tbsps Kahlua or brandy .
1 c skim milk .
250 g ladyfingers .
226 g philly light cream cheese .
2 tbsps dark unsweetened cocoa .
2 egg whites .
2 tsps vanilla .
3 tbsps custard powder
Directions
Step #1 Stir the custard powder in a small pan with about 2 Tbls.
Step #2 of skim milk until dissolved.
Step #3 Add remaining skim milk with sugar & vanilla & stir over med-heat/flame until mixture boils & thickens.
Step #4 Remove from heat, this will be a thick custard.
Step #5 Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap & cool at about room temp.
Step #6 In a small bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form, then fold into the cooled custard.
Step #7 Beat together the custard & cream cheese for 2 mins.
Step #8 Pour the coffee into a dish & add the Kahlua coffee liqueur.
Step #9 Using half the biscuits, quickly dip each biscuit in the coffee mixture.
Step #10 Just enough to cover(don't leave them in the liquid or they will get soggy) & arrange in a single layer over the base of a serving dish.
Step #11 Use a 9" x 13" x 2" baking dish.
Step #12 Using half of the custard mixture, smooth it evenly over the biscuits.
Step #13 Dust half the dark cocoa over the cream & then repeat the layers with the remaining biscuits & custard mixture.
Step #14 Cover up the Tiramisu with plastic wrap & put in the fridge overnight, or for at least 6 hrs.
Step #15 Lightly dust with dark cocoa powder to serve.
