Creole Shrimp And Lobster Bisque Recipe

Ingredients
  • olive oil .
  • 2 c half-and-half .
  • 1 tsp creole seasoning .
  • 1/2 lb steamed medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, & sliced .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • shredded parmesan cheese .
  • 1 small white onion, finely sliced .
  • fresh parsley .
  • 2 stalks celery, finely sliced .
  • 3 c chicken broth .
  • Bread Bowl .
  • Garnish .
  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread .
  • 2 steamed fresh lobster tails

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove lobster meat from shell; coarsely chop & set aside.
  • Step #2 In a large saucepan, melt butter over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Add onion, & garlic; cook for 5 mins, celery, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #4 Stir in flour, & cook for 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Stir in chicken broth; cook for 10 mins, stirring every once in awhile, until thickened.
  • Step #6 Add lobster meat & shrimp.
  • Step #7 Stir in half-and-half & Creole seasoning; cook for 10 mins, or until heated through, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #8 Meanwhile cut out the center portion of a round loaf of bread.
  • Step #9 Brush with olive oil & place on a sturdy cookie sheet.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350F for about 15 mins to seal bowl.
  • Step #11 Ladle soup into bread bowl & sprinkle on parmesan & parsley if desired.
  • Step #12 Serve as soon as possible.
