• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 c crisp rice cereal
• 1 c shortening
• 1 c packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 eggs
• 1 c shredded coconut
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 c white sugar
• 2 c quick cooking oats

• Step #1 Mix, flour, salt & soda together.
• Step #2 Cream shortening until fluffy; add both kinds of sugar slowly, beat until smooth & creamy.
• Step #3 Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
• Step #4 Stir in vanilla & flour mixture; add cereal, oats, & coconut.
• Step #5 Form into small balls & place on greased cookie sheets & bake this at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 to 15 mins.
