Beef And Mushroom Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely sliced .
  • 1 c basmati rice or long-grain rice .
  • 4-6 green onions, sliced (1/2 c) .
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil .
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced (1 c) .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can beef broth (ready to serve) .
  • 1 tsp sesame oil .
  • 2 tbsps sesame seeds .
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 1/2 lb mushrooms, sliced (3 c) .
  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin, cut into thin strips

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 cook beef in oil, stirring every once in awhile until brown.
  • Step #3 Remove beef from skillet.
  • Step #4 Add mushrooms & garlic to skillet, cook 3 mins, stirring every once in awhile, until mushrooms begin to brown.
  • Step #5 Stir in rice.
  • Step #6 Stir in broth, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil & bell pepper.
  • Step #7 Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  • Step #8 Return beef to skillet.
  • Step #9 Cover up & let simmer without stirring 15 to 20 mins or until rice is tender & liquid is absorbed.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with onions & sesame seeds.
