Bev's Homemade Vegetable Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (64 oz) can tomato juice .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • hot sauce (to taste) .
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1 (29 oz) can large Veg-All .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 onion, sliced (optional) .
  • 1 (15 oz) can small sliced Veg-All (2) .
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) envelope onion soup mix

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown ground meat with sliced onion, drain well.
  • Step #2 Add the vegetables, (I don't drain them), & the tomato juice & salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #3 Add onion soup mix, butter & hot sauce.
  • Step #4 Just a tiny amount of hot sauce will do.
  • Step #5 I simmer on very low for at least 4 hrs.
  • Step #6 Serve with Jiffy Brand (my favorite)corn bread.
