Step #1 Beat sugar, margarine & eggs together.
Step #2 Sift dry ingredients together.
Step #3 Add liquid flavoring (vanilla or see below) to sour cream.
Step #4 Add dry ingredients to margarine mixture alternately with sour cream mixture, mixing well.
Step #5 Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.
Step #6 Grease the bottom of a glass & dip in sugar, flatten cookies.
Step #7 Bake at 350° for 10-12 mins.
Step #8 *Alternative flavoring combinations: in lieu of vanilla.
Step #9 1 tsp lemon or 1 tsp cinnamon & 1 tsp nutmeg & 1/2 tsp cloves.
Step #10 1/4 c cocoa & 1 tsp vanilla.
Step #11 Brown sugar in lieu of white & 1 tsp vanilla.
