Toasty 3-seed Crescents Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps sesame seeds .
  • 1 c powdered sugar .
  • 1/4 c raw pumpkin seeds, coarsely sliced (pepitas) .
  • 1/4 c raw sunflower seeds, coarsely sliced .
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar .
  • 1 c butter, softened .
  • 2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 In a skillet over med-heat/flame cook & stir sunflower kernels & seeds for 3 to 5 mins or until toasted.
  • Step #2 Remove from skillet; cool.
  • Step #3 In a mixing bowl beat butter with electric mixer on medium speed 30 seconds.
  • Step #4 Add the 1/2 c powdered sugar & vanilla.
  • Step #5 Beat until mixd, scraping sides of bowl.
  • Step #6 Beat in as much flour as you can with mixer.
  • Step #7 With a spoon stir in the toasted seeds & any remaining flour.
  • Step #8 Cover up; put in the fridge 1 hr.
  • Step #9 Preheat oven to 350°F Shape dough in 2 1/2-inch-long ropes, then in crescents;.
  • Step #10 Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step #11 Bake 12 to 15 mins or until bottoms are lightly browned.
  • Step #12 Cool 1 min.
  • Step #13 Transfer to wire rack; cool completely.
  • Step #14 In a plastic bag carefully shake cooled cookies, a few at a time, with 1 c powdered sugar.
