Crunch Bar Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 c sliced walnuts
  • 4 oz saltine crackers
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Arrange crackers in a single layer on the bottom of a 10x15 inch pan that has sides.
  • Step #3 Boil the butter & the brown sugar together for 3 mins.
  • Step #4 Pour evenly over the crackers.
  • Step #5 Be careful it's extremely hot & sticky.
  • Step #6 Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7 mins.
  • Step #7 Remove from oven & as soon as possible sprinkle chocolate chips over hot mixture.
  • Step #8 Wait a few mins for them to melt, then spread evenly with the back of a spoon.
  • Step #9 While still hot spread finely sliced walnuts over the top.
  • Step #10 Break or cut into desired size pieces.
