Mexi Layer Taco Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c salsa, slightly drained .
  • 2 c shredded Mexican mix cheese (or use cheddar) .
  • 1/2 c green sliced green olives, drained .
  • 12 oz cream cheese, softened (can use two 8-oz packages) .
  • 6 green onions, sliced .
  • 1 (16 oz) container sour cream .
  • 1 (1 oz) package taco seasoning mix, divided .
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded & finely sliced (optional) .
  • 1/2 c canned sliced black olives, drained .
  • 2 plum tomatoes, finely sliced .
  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans .
  • 4 c finely shredded head lettuce

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl mix HALF the package of taco seasoning mix with the refried beans until mixd, then spread in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish (or a long serving platter).
  • Step #2 In another bowl mix the remaining half of taco seasoning mix with the softened cream cheese & sour cream until well mixed; spread over the refried beans.
  • Step #3 Spread the drained salsa over the refried beans.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top sliced tomatoes over the salsa then green onions & shredded lettuce.
  • Step #5 Top with shredded cheese, then sprinkle with green or black sliced olives.
