Grammie Bea's Chocolate No-bake Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 1/2 c peanut butter .
  • 1/3 c cocoa powder .
  • 1/2 c flaked coconut (optional) .
  • 1/2 c raisins (optional) .
  • 2 1/2-3 c Quaker Oats .
  • 1/2 c walnuts, sliced (optional) .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix the sugar, cocoa, butter, & milk in a med.
  • Step #2 saucepan, & heat over med.
  • Step #3 heat, stirring every once in awhile, until mixture comes to a boil.
  • Step #4 Let mixture boil for 2 1/2 mins.
  • Step #5 , then remove this from heat.
  • Step #6 Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, & oats.
  • Step #7 If you are adding coconut and/or raisins, add at this time too.
  • Step #8 If it looks on the runny side & soft, add another 1/2 c oats slowly, until desired thickness, & mix well.
  • Step #9 You don't want them to spread out too much when you drop them onto the wax paper.
  • Step #10 Working quickly, drop by tspfuls onto waxed paper or aluminum foil wrap.
  • Step #11 Let cool.
  • Step #12 The serving size is approximate, as it depends on how big you make them.
