Almost Instant Cheese Fondue (real Simple) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (optional) or brandy (optional) .
  • 1 garlic clove, halved (optional) .
  • 1 (8 oz) bag shredded swiss cheese (2 c) .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine .
  • 1 (10 oz) container put in the fridged alfredo sauce .
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions
  • Step #1 Rub the garlic clove (if using) around the inside of a fondue pot or nonaluminum saucepan, then discard.
  • Step #2 Add the wine & heat to boiling.
  • Step #3 Reduce flame (or stovetop) to low & add the Alfredo sauce, Swiss cheese, & nutmeg.
  • Step #4 Stir constantly until the cheese is melted & very hot.
  • Step #5 Add the kirsch or brandy (if using).
  • Step #6 Serve with cubes of bread, sliced pears, & sliced apples.
