Christmas Wreaths Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 3 drops red food coloring
  • 3/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 1/4 c butter
  • 3/4 c confectioners' sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Cream together the butter or margarine, confectioner's sugar, flour & peppermint extract.
  • Step #3 Mix well.
  • Step #4 Separate dough into two equal parts, put into separate bowls & tint with food-coloring.
  • Step #5 Roll dough into SMALL balls, approximately 1/2 tsp per cookie.
  • Step #6 Place six balls in a circle, alternating colors onto cookie sheet.
  • Step #7 Bake for 8 mins.
  • Step #8 NOTE: I guess you could omit peppermint flavoring or substitute it, but we like peppermint, so I have not tried variations or substitutions.
