Ingredients
  • 2 c Apple cider
  • 10 lb Smoked ham half; bone-in, in natural juice
  • 1/4 c Brown sugar; packed
  • 1 tb Grated orange rind
  • 6 Whole cloves

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Preheat 12-Qt.
  • Step #3 Roaster oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 Lightly spray Cookwell with spray cooking oil.
  • Step #6 Place ham in preheated Cookwell.
  • Step #7 Add cider, sugar, orange rind & cloves.
  • Step #8 Cover; roast 4 to 5 hrs (170 degrees F.
  • Step #9 on meat thermometer).
  • Step #10 To slow cook: 1.
  • Step #11 Roast at 350 degrees F.
  • Step #12 for 1 hr.
  • Step #13 Reduce temperature to 300 degrees F.
  • Step #14 & slow roast 5 to 6 hrs (170 degrees F.
  • Step #15 on meat thermometer).
  • Step #16 Serves 6 to 8.
