Blood Orange Endive Pomegranate Salad With Marsala (dj/ja Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 Pomegranate
  • Cold water; as needed
  • 1 Blood orange

Directions
  • Step #1 Measure the opening of the punch bowl, & select a ring mold that is neither too large for the bowl not too small to chill the punch.
  • Step #2 Slice the blood orange into paper-thin rounds, & then cut the rounds into sixths; set them aside.
  • Step #3 Remove seeds from half a pomegranate.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top the pomegranate seeds on the bottom of the ring mold, & arrange the orange sections on top of the seeds.
  • Step #5 Carefully fill the ring mold with cold water.
  • Step #6 Freeze until solid, several hrs or overnight.
  • Step #7 To unmold, dip the ring in a large bowl of tepid water, touching only the outside of the mold.
  • Step #8 Turn mold over, & remove the ice ring.
  • Step #9 Then place ice ring in a filled punch bowl.
