Breaded Pork Cutlet With Mushroom And Onions (low Fat) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 1/4 ts Dried savory
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 lb Parsnips
  • 2 tb Milk
  • 1/2 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel parsnips & cut into large pieces, about 2 1/2 inches long.
  • Step #2 Cook in boiling salted water for 8 to 10 mins or until almost tender.
  • Step #3 Drain.
  • Step #4 Beat together egg & milk.
  • Step #5 Add salt, pepper to taste, & savory to breadcrumbs.
  • Step #6 Melt butter in heavy skillet.
  • Step #7 Dip each piece of parsnip in egg mixture, then in crumbs.
  • Step #8 Cook in melted butter until golden brown, turning often.
  • Step #9 Makes 6 servings.
