Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 Potatoes; peeled, and
  • 1/4 c sliced onion
  • Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1 1/4 c Milk
  • Salt; to taste
  • Thinly sliced; not rinsed
  • 1 c Grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tb Flour

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Cook onion in butter until soft, add flour & cook for 2 mins, whisking.
  • Step #3 Whisk in milk & cook this until thick & bubbly.
  • Step #4 remove this from heat & add 3/4 c of cheese, stirring until melted; Spice up this with salt & pepper.
  • Step #5 Layer half of potatoes in a baking dish & Sprinkle top with salt & pepper.
  • Step #6 Cover with half of sauce.
  • Step #7 Layer remaining potato slices on top of sauce and Spice up.
  • Step #8 top this with remaining sauce & Sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
  • Step #9 Bake, covered, for 30 mins or until potatoes are tender.
  • Step #10 This recipe yields 4 servings.
