Cherry Clafouti Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 ts Dried red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 ts Ground coriander
  • 2 1/2 lb Pitted cherries; fresh or frozen
  • 1 c sliced yellow onion
  • 1 1/2 c White wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c White sugar
  • 2 tb Minced fresh ginger
  • 1/4 ts Mustard seed
  • 1/8 ts Ground allspice
  • 1/4 ts Celery seed
  • 1 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 mix all ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Reduce heat to medium-low & cook for about 1 hr or until a little syrupy.
  • Step #4 remove this from heat & sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • Step #5 Serve warm or at about room temp.
  • Step #6 Serves 4.
