Ingredients
2/3 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Fine dry bread crumbs; for dusting the pie plate
1/4 c Chocolate cookie crumbs; optional
Dark & divine chocolate sauce; see recipe
1/3 c Sugar
1 qt Low-fat frozen yogurt; Low-fat ice cream; softened in refrigerator 15 mins
1 ts Vanilla
1 tb Instant coffee
4 Eggs; separated
1/8 ts Salt
2 tb Boiling water
Directions
Step #1 CHOCOLATE BROWNIE ICE CREAM PIE WITH DARK & DIVINE CHOCOLATE SAUCE 1.
Step #2 preheat your trusty oven to 350?F.
Step #3 Spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray & dust with fine bread crumbs.
Step #4 2.
Step #5 Place the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water.
Step #6 Dissolve the instant coffee in the 2 Tbsp boiling water & add to chocolate.
Step #7 Stir every once in awhile with a wire whisk.
Step #8 When the chocolate is almost melted, remove this from heat & whisk until smooth.
Step #9 Meanwhile, using a mixer, beat egg yolks until thick.
Step #10 slowly beat in the sugar until the mixture is thick & lemon colored, about 5 mins.
Step #11 slowly beat the chocolate & vanilla into the yolk mixture.
Step #12 3.
Step #13 In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites & salt until stiff but not dry.
Step #14 Stir one-third of the whites into the chocolate mixture.
Step #15 carefully fold in the remaining whites until mixed.
Step #16 4.
Step #17 Pour chocolate mixture into prepared pie plate.
Step #18 Bake for 25 mins.
Step #19 remove this from oven & cool completely on a wire rack.
Step #20 As it cools, the mixture sinks in the middle to form a thick fudgy pie shell.

Step #22 Spoon the frozen yogurt into the cooled shell.
Step #23 Smooth with the back of a large spoon.
Step #24 Sprinkle top with cookie crumbs & freeze until ready to serve.
Step #25 Yield: 8 servings.
