Coffee Granita Recipe

Ingredients
  • 140 ml Whipping cream to coat;
  • 600 ml Whipping cream;
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 100 g Caster sugar to glaze;
  • 5 ml Vanilla essence
  • 1 tb Coffee liquor
  • 2 ts Coffee powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Do it in a coffee c Mix the egg yolks with the sugar, pour in the whipping cream, vanilla essence & coffee powder.
  • Step #2 pour this into ramekins or coffee c.
  • Step #3 Bake in a bain- marie, 150?C/300?F/gas mark 2 for about 40 mins until just lightly set.
  • Step #4 Leave to cool.
  • Step #5 Scatter each dish with some caster sugar & place under a hot grill to caramalise.
  • Step #6 Leave to cool slightly & then make the topping.
  • Step #7 Whisk the cream with the caster sugar, coffee liqueur until it forms soft peaks.
  • Step #8 Pour the cream on top, scatter with the chocolate & serve as soon as possible.
