After Holiday Ham Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 10 oz Ghirardelli Mint Chocolate Wafers
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1 1/3 c Unsifted flour
  • 3/4 c Finely sliced walnuts
  • 2/3 c Sugar
  • 3/4 c Butter, softened
  • 1 Egg

Directions
  • Step #1 DIRECTIONS: Melt 5 oz of the Mint Wafers in a double boiler, stirring constantly or microwave on medium for about 3 mins.
  • Step #2 Set aside.
  • Step #3 Cream butter with sugar, egg & salt.
  • Step #4 Mix in melted chocolate.
  • Step #5 slowly add flour.
  • Step #6 Chill dough at least 1 hr.
  • Step #7 Shape dough into balls, using 1 level Tbsp for each cookie.
  • Step #8 Roll balls into nuts.
  • Step #9 Place on greased baking sheets.
  • Step #10 Flatten slightly with the palm of hand.
  • Step #11 bake this at 350-F for only 8 mins.
  • Step #12 remove this from oven & place Mint Wafer on top of each cookie, pressing slightly.
  • Step #13 Continue baking 3 5 mins longer or until cookie is firm.
