Apple Dump Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pt Cream, whipped
  • 1 pk Puff pastry
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 2 oz Brown sugar
  • 1 Beaten egg
  • 4 Dessert apples
  • 2 oz Raisins

Directions
  • Step #1 (Inspired by James Joyce's "Ulysses") Preheat the oven to 400'F.
  • Step #2 Peel & core the apples.
  • Step #3 Stuff the centers with a mixture of brown sugar, raisins & cinnamon.
  • Step #4 Roll out the pastry & cut out 4 circles approximately 8" in diameter, depending on the size of the apples.
  • Step #5 Place an apple in the center of the pastry circle & brush the edge with beaten egg; draw up the pastry to enfold the apple, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
  • Step #6 Brush the tops of the pastry parcels with the remaining egg to glaze.
  • Step #7 Bake in a shallow ovenproof dish for 40 mins.
  • Step #8 serve this with whipped cream.
