Baked Smoked Salmon & Feta Cheese En Croute Recipe

Ingredients
  • Coarsley crumbled
  • For garnish
  • SHARRON SOLOMON
  • 1/4 ts -salt
  • Chop
  • 1/4 c Vegetable oil
  • 8 Cloves garlic -- finely
  • 1 tb Fresh lime juice
  • 1 To 3 dried de arbol chilies
  • 1/2 c Butter
  • Green onion tops, slivered

  • 1 1/2 lb Raw shrimp in shells

Directions
  • Step #1 For milder flavor, seed some or all of the chilies.
  • Step #2 De Arbol chilies are usually sold in cellophane packages, along with other Mexican food specialties.
  • Step #3 They are a small, slender, almost needle-shaped chilie with smooth, bright red skin & a very hot flavor.
  • Step #4 preheat your trusty oven to 400~.
  • Step #5 Shell & devein shrimp, leaving tails attached; rinse and drain well.
  • Step #6 Heat butter & oil in small skillet over med-heat/flame until butter is melted & foamy.
  • Step #7 Add garlic, chilies, lime juice and salt.
  • Step #8 Cook & stir 1 min.
  • Step #9 remove this from heat.
  • Step #10 Arrange shrimp in even layer in shallow 2-quart gratin pan or baking dish.
  • Step #11 Pour hot butter mixture over shrimp.
  • Step #12 Bake shrimp 10 to 12 mins until shrimp turn opaque, stirring once.
  • Step #13 Do not overcook or shrimp will be dry and tough.
  • Step #14 Garnish if desired.
