Marie's Baked Beans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 oz Dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 1/2 tb Apple cider vinegar
  • 18 oz Baked beans
  • 1 1/2 ts Schilling peppered Spice upin
  • Liquid smoke to taste
  • 16 oz Cooked dry butter beans
  • 2 tb Brown sugar
  • 1 lb Bacon, cooked & sliced , with drippings
  • 1 1/2 tb Red wine vinegar OR -
  • 16 oz Chunk pineapple, drained
  • 1 lg Onion, sliced
  • 16 oz Stewed, sliced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In slow-cooker pot, Spice uping, mix butter beans, salt, baked beans, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, bacon (with drippings), tomatoes, kidney beans, pineapple & liquid smoke; mix thoroughly.
  • Step #2 Cover & cook on low setting of slow cooker pot for 6 hrs.
  • Step #3 Makes 6 to 8 servings.
  • Step #4 serve this with sourdough bread.
  • Step #5 Note: If thicker soup is desired, drain all beans, etc.
  • Step #6 Preparation time: 15 mins Cooking time: 6 hrs.
