Beef Potpie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Thinly sliced carrots
  • 2 c Coca-Cola
  • 2 c Chicken stock; or canned low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 lb Pot roast
  • 1 c Frozen peas, defrosted
  • 1 Onion; sliced
  • 1 tb Oil
  • 1 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 HEAT OIL IN A POT, add the meat & brown well on both sides.
  • Step #2 Remove the meat & pour out the fat.
  • Step #3 Replace the meat & add onion, carrot & Coca-Cola.
  • Step #4 Place over med-heat/flame & cook 5 mins.
  • Step #5 Add stock & salt, cover & cook for 1 1/4 hrs or until meat is tender.
  • Step #6 Add the peas & cook another 5 mins.
