Beef Stroganoff Ii Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 2 tb Onion, finely sliced
  • 1 ds Paprika
  • 1/2 tb Salad oil
  • 1/8 lb Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 ds Pepper
  • sliced parsley, Sprinkle top
  • 1/4 ts Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c Sour cream
  • 1/2 lb Beef chuck steak or roast
  • Hot cooked noodles or rice
  • 1 tb Butter or margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Discard bone & fat from meat & cut into thin, bite-size strips.
  • Step #2 Heat 1/2 tb of the butter with the oil in frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 Add mushrooms & onion & cook, stirring until golden.
  • Step #4 Lift out & set aside.
  • Step #5 add in the remaining 1/2 tb of butter to pan.
  • Step #6 Add beef strips & cook over high heat, turning meat & shaking pan, just until browned.
  • Step #7 Remove pan from heat, salt, Worcestershire, stir in the reserved mushroom-onion mixture, paprika, pepper & sour cream.
  • Step #8 Return pan to low heat & cook, stirring constantly, just until sauce is heated through--do not boil.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top with parsley.
  • Step #10 Serve over noodles or rice.
