Butterscotch Cream Cheese Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 c Flour
  • 3 c Brown sugar
  • 4 ea Eggs
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • Filling; cook together:
  • 1/2 c Nuts
  • 3/4 ts Baking soda
  • 3/4 ts Cream tartar
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1/2 c Water
  • 3/4 c Shortening
  • 1 c Dates

Directions
  • Step #1 Make into rolls & place this in refrigerator for a few hrs.
  • Step #2 Cut into thin slices & place cooled filling between slices.
  • Step #3 Bake in a slow oven.
  • Step #4 Note: Slow oven is 300F - 350 F.
