Ingredients
  • 1 Jar red salmon caviar
  • 1 sm Cucumber, scrubbed and trimmed
  • 8 Thin slices whole-wheat bread
  • Butter or margarine
  • 1 ts Dried dill weed
  • 1/3 c Sour Cream
  • Fresh dill sprigs
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Serves 2 Slice cucumber into 1/4-inch rounds.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl, mix sour cream, dried dill & pepper.
  • Step #3 Place one tsp of the sour cream mixture on each cucumber slice.
  • Step #4 Garnish each with about 1/2 tsp caviar & a dill sprig.
  • Step #5 Cut bread slices with heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  • Step #6 Toast & butter.
  • Step #7 Place cucumber slices in center of serving plate & surround with toast hearts.
