Step #1 Pat Piper or Sonoma, California, sends us her recipe rather assertively called Pat's Famous & Healthful Low-Cholesterol Salad Dressing.
Step #2 She first tried a balancing act of 1 to 1 (equal parts oil & vinegar).
Step #3 But overly tart results pushed her back to traditional ratios of 3 (oil) to 1 (vinegar).
Step #4 She then elected to mix predominantly monounsaturated olive oil with three significantly polyunsaturated vegetable oils, hoping to bring better nutrition by way of variety.
Step #5 Liking the concept of variety, she also mixd several vinegars.
Step #6 ======================================================= ============== === In a small bowl or jar, soy oil, cider vinegar, safflower oil, garlic, whisk or shake together olive oil, soy sauce, peanut oil, dry mustard, blue cheese, pepper, balsamic vinegar, & basil.
Step #7 Makes about 1 1/3 c.
Step #8 --.
