Chicken Salad Puffs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 c finely sliced cooked chicken
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp onion salt
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 c mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 c thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/2 c butter (no substitutes)
  • 1/4 c sliced celery
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 c sliced pecans
  • 1 c water
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 In a saucepan, bring water, butter & salt to a boil.
  • Step #2 Add flour all at once & stir until a smooth ball forms.
  • Step #3 Remove from the heat; let this stand for 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step #5 Continue beating until smooth & shiny.
  • Step #6 Drop by rounded tspfuls 2 in.
  • Step #7 apart onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Step #8 Bake at 400F degrees F for 15-20 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #9 Remove to wire racks.
  • Step #10 Immediately cut a slit in each puff to allow steam to escape; cool.
  • Step #11 Split puffs & set tops aside; remove soft dough form inside.
  • Step #12 In a bowl, mix the filling ingredients; mix well.
  • Step #13 Fill puffs & replace tops.
  • Step #14 Refrigerate until serving.
  • Step #15 Refrigerate leftovers.
