Choco Scotch Marble Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 tbsps half-and-half cream
  • FROSTING:
  • 2 tbsps finely sliced pecans
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c butterscotch chips, melted
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c butterscotch chips
  • 1 (1 oz) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 (1 oz) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
  • 1 c sour cream

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large mixing bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, pudding mix, sour cream & oil; beat on lowish speed for 2 mins.
  • Step #2 Divide batter in half; stir butterscotch chips into half & chocolate into the other half.
  • Step #3 Spoon half of the butterscotch batter in a greased 10-in.
  • Step #4 fluted tube pan; top this with half of the chocolate batter.
  • Step #5 Repeat layers.
  • Step #6 Cut through batter with a knife to swirl.
  • Step #7 Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 mins or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Step #8 Cool for 10 mins before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Step #9 For frosting, mix butterscotch chips & chocolate in a small mixing bowl.
  • Step #10 Beat in enough cream until the frosting is smooth & reaches desired spreading consistency.
  • Step #11 Spread over top of cake.
  • Step #12 Sprinkle top with pecans.
