Creamy Mushroom Peas Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c frozen green peas
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c light cream
  • 1 c sliced fresh mushrooms

Directions
  • Step #1 Fill a small saucepan with one inch of water.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil, & cook this until tender, add peas, about 5 mins.
  • Step #3 Drain & set aside.
  • Step #4 Melt butter in a medium saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #5 Add mushrooms & onions, & cook for a few mins, or until tender.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top flour over the mushrooms, & cook for 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #7 Gradually stir in the cream, & season this with salt, pepper & nutmeg.
  • Step #8 Cook, stirring until smooth & thick.
  • Step #9 Stir in peas, & remove this from heat.
  • Step #10 Let stand for 5 mins before serving.
