How to make it

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Form into a pinecone shape (sort of a triangle with rounded corners)
  • Place on serving dish and chill for several hours.
  • When ready to serve, beginning with the narrow end and continuing all around the base, press almonds (pointy side out) at a slight angle into cheese mixture.
  • Continue staggering and overlapping almonds until all the rows are completed and all the cheese is covered.
  • Insert an artificial sprig of pine needles at the top. If using a real spring, wrap stem with plastic wrap before inserting.
  • Serve with crackers. The number of servings will vary.
