How to make it

  • Fragment the mince into a large bowl, mix in dry ingredients by hand
  • Add egg and tomatoe soup
  • spray olive oil into a cake tin and line with the streaky bacon, leave some hanging over
  • squash in the meat mix, press in firmly
  • flop over the bacon and cover with aluminium foil
  • cook for 35 minutes at 180C
  • remove foil, cover with the beer and cook for a further 10 minutes till juices evaporated
  • Serve with gravy and mashed potato, and the second beer
