Dijon Encrusted Steak

- 3 thick steaks; i love kansas city cut shopping list
- 11/2 T chili powder shopping list
- 2 T Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 T basil shopping list
- 1/2 T garlic or 2 cloves shopping list
- 1 T extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1 T horseradish shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2 c bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 t ground mustard seed shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 400
- In a food processor combined all ingredients. Mix until you have a well blended bread mixture.
- Marinade the steaks. I use rock salt, ground pepper, W sauce and soy sauce. Just a little bit of each for flavor.
- Sear steaks stove top 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Place steaks on a baking sheet. Add the bread crumb mixture on the top of each steak.
- Cook for 30-40 minutes; depending on how you like your steak done
- I flip half way through to add more bread crumbs on the other side for more flavor. If you do not flip half way through cut the bread crumb recipe in half.
