Ingredients

90 gms butter

4 weetbix crushed

1 cup each of dates, SR flour, caster sugar;

1 teaspoon bicarb soda and 1 cup boiling water

an egg lightly beaten

about half a cup of choc bits chopped

Directions

Soften the butter in the sun; add bi-carb dissolved in the cup of boiling water, sugar, dates and weet-bix; mix well; stir in the egg and the SR flour. Add the choc bits.

Put baking paper over the base of a lamington-type tin, then spread the mixture eveinly in the tin. Bake mod oven 30 mins.
