Chicken Jambalaya

- 1/3 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup green pepper shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 - 14 1/2 can tomaotes, cut up shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 2/3 cup long grain rice shopping list
- 1 tsp dried basil or thyme, crushed shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp bottled hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken or turkey shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet cook celery, onion, and green pepper in butter till vegies are tender. Stir in the undrained tomatoes, chicken broth, rice, basil or thyme, garlic salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce, and bay leaf. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes or till rice is tender. Stir in chicken; cook till heated through. Discard bayleaf.
